Who we are
It all started with seven students and a bold idea in December 2023—we wanted to reimagine semiconductor education, breaking free from the traditional mold to create a community-driven movement where students could lead, innovate, and shape the future together. What began as a small spark at Purdue University quickly grew into a thriving student organization with hundreds of members. By April 2024, our students were in Washington, D.C., for the CHIPS for America Summit, making our voices heard. We hosted events with industry giants like AMD, ASML, Intel, and Texas Instruments. In November, we took it a step further, launching the first-ever Students for CHIPS Conference, bringing together students from five universities for a full day of discussions, collaboration, and vision-setting. Now, we’re writing the next chapter. With three of our SSA - Purdue Chapter leaders, we’ve spun out into something bigger. Our goal? To transform the way students engage with technology—not as passive learners, but as creative thinkers, bold problem-solvers, and visionary leaders. We’re here to cultivate curiosity, well-roundedness, and a fearless approach to innovation, empowering students to push boundaries and shape a future where technology serves both humanity and national security. We believe education isn’t confined to classrooms—it thrives in community, collaboration, and shared purpose. Together, we’re building a culture where students inspire each other, challenge the status quo, and create meaningful impact. The sky is the limit—are you in?
